5/5. 10/10. So glad I didn’t waste money on a new surround when these products worked so well. Just prepare the surface nicely and spray this on lightly and all smooth strokes, no stopping on the surface. Continue spraying off the edge. Lots of light costs and fireplace never looked better. The small canopy over my gas fire was badly marked and this Matt black paint was absolutely brilliant. I also sprayed the back and sides of the fire and all the coals. It looks like a brand new fire. I was so pleased with the result that I also used it on my daughter’s gas fire. Excellent result. (Posted on 07/11/2020)

After application does this paint need cured - if so at what temperature?

This paint can be cured under normal room temperature conditions. We would recommend leaving it to dry at room temperature for 1 day.

Can the paint be used on a fire resistance board which has not been treated? Are the coloured paints also in a matt finish?

This can be sprayed straight onto fire board, we do supply some matt colours.

We don't recommend this paint to be used near food preparation as it has not been tested and the paint can smell very strongly

Can this be used on the outside of a gas cast iron stove? I cleaned the dust off the top of it with a damp cloth and now there’s what looks like rust coloured discolouration between the base of the flue and the stove?

Hi looking to refurbish my flat black landman charcoal BBQ and spray paint it with stove bright paint, what preparation would advise to do to the BBQ before I paint it?

You can spray Stove Bright directly on proper prepared aluminium BBQs. Steel BBQs require a high-temp primer which provides a durable base coat and rust resistance, prior to top coating with any of the Stove Bright® high temperature colours. Regards.

Can this paint be used on a primed brass fireplace trim?

If there is a lacquer coating over the brass, you will need to sand it off. Also, you will need to rough-up the surface with medium grit sandpaper after removing the lacquer coating. High-temp paint should be applied to an extremely clean surface, so a wipe down with a white cloth dipped in lacquer thinner - after the sanding - will prepare the brass for repainting. It is not necessary to use a primer. You should be aware that high-temp paint will not be as shiny as the brass is now. Another point is that after the paint heat cures (see the Curing the Paint section of our User Guide.) it will be very durable, but until then, it will not have full durability.

Can this paint be used on concrete? I would like to spray the area behind a multi fuel stove. I am concerned that the paint might not adhere to the concrete. Thanks

"In Stock" - If ordered before 1pm this will arrive Next Day if selecting a tracked delivery service or in 2 / 3 days if Royal Mail Second Class delivery is selected at checkout.

Good product so far.

I used this to repaint a garden firecube, as instructed I rubbed down to the metal and sprayed, did it indoors with extraction and mask etc. Very little overspray and good coverage. I did two coats of the paint which has given me a lovely uniform cover.

Very happy with the application, we use the firecube as an ornament rather than as a heater so I can't endorseits resistance to heat.

Overall very pleased with the buying process, the delivery, the price and the product.
