This 16 inch balmoral fret in a black & brass finish can only be used with gas fires. Fire fronts are used to decorate the front of the fireplace while also providing a functional use of keeping coals off the hearth area. Note that with solid fuel fires polished finishes can tarnish.

NOT SUITABLE FOR SOLID FUEL FIRES!

(Please be aware when referring to fret size eg, 14'', 16'' or 18'' the actual size of the fret measures 0.5'' smaller than the size referred to in the title. 14'' actually measures 13.5'', 16'' actually measures 15.5'' etc..)
